Personally, I have never tried these candles, but this is there statement on quality.

Not only are these extremely strong and fragrant candles, but they are true to their namesakes. We are best known for our highly scented candles, it is not unusual for our customers to be surprised at the strength of our fragrances, these are not your typical store bought candles that lose their fragrance after just one burn. So these candles, have a quite interesting scent combinations such as “Elvis” that smells like banana and peanut butter.  They also offer all kinds of other scents such as bacon, blackbird pie, country berry hotcakes and so many more!  I am so curious about these candles and definitely plan on trying them soon!

Slatkin & Co. New Spring Fresh Picked Candles

In this video ScentMyWay reviews her new haul from Slatkin & Co that she just picked up this week.  Here are the candles that are covered in this video (by the way they all sound so heavenly!) and few observations of each:

I am so making my way over to Bath & Body works ASAP and picking up some of these candles.  I am a total fruity, fresh lover of candles and I am dying to try these!

Slatkin & Co. Candles

So, not only is Yankee Candles introducing their new Spring line of candles that I blogged about HERE, but now it is time to talk about Bath & Body Works new Spring scents!  When I say Bath & Body Works, I of course mean Slatkin & Co. candles.

Slatkin & Co. has been a favorite pick for scented candle lovers everywhere!  They offer a wide variety of scents for all seasons and holidays!  The strong candles are also featured by great sales!  You have to love a good sale when you’re a candle fanatic, like me!

So here are the scents she covers:

• Spring – Tulips, Daisy, Apple Blossoms and more floral notes.  The reviewer notes a lot of green scents such as grass, green apple and citrus.
• Pink Tulip – Tulips, Lilac and more floral notes.  Floral and sweet.
• Mango Beachwood – An exotic sweet island blend.  Vanilla, fruit and beachwood.  Smoky and fruity in one candle.

Unfortunately these do not sound very appealing to me, as I do not enjoy floral.  Hopefully, some scented candles will come out featuring juicy, sweet and fruity notes — those are what I like!

Sparklin Mojito Candle

As Spring is knocking on our door and *almost* right around the corner, I thought this would be a great video to post for some great Spring time scents.  This video is technically 2011 scents; however, most of the them are still available this season in stores or via Ebay.

Karen has a great blog and youtube channel called “Scent My Way”.  She does wonderful, thorough reviews using very descriptive adjectives for the candles she reviews.

Here she reviews some of these favorite Spring time candles:

• Yankee “Garden Cucumber” – she states this is one of her all time favorite Yankee candles.  She states this is not available in stores, but can be found on Ebay, or sometimes in the treasure section of Yankee.
• Yankee “Spa Fresh” – also discontinued.  She states it is lavender, eucalyptus and mint.
• Slatkin & Co “Pink Sangria” – very fresh, pink and fruity sweet.
• Slatkin & Co. “Pineapple Orchid”- floral and fruit all rolled into one “interesting” candle.  Reviewer thinks this one is quite sweet.
• Slatkin & Co. “Fresh Lemon” – this has been brought back year after year.  Not too sweet, not a dessert-like candle.  Sugary lemon, but not creamy.
• Slatkin & Co. “Sparkling Mojito” – lemon and lime as top notes, with fresh mint smells.  This sounds heavenly!

She goes on to review more picks with great detail!  I’m already looking forward to the sweet freshness of Spring and purchasing new candles for the season!

No. 64 White Lotus & Lychee

I’m so excited to smell the new release from Trapp Candles – No. 64 White Lotus & Lychee. It sounds heavenly and inspired by the smells and delights of the Orient!

Trapp describes their new candle release as the following:

This exotic fragrance captures the delicate beauty of the white lotus flower enchanced with fresh lychee fruit and creamy jasmine rice.

To me it reminds me of this Thai dish that may husband absolutely adores, it is called Mango sticky rice.  He orders it every time we go to our favorite restaurant as he describes it as sweet, creamy and delicious.  However, lychee is quite different than mango.  So, maybe that is not the best comparison, but my mind goes there with free association.  Lychee sort of reminds me of grape or pear.  It also leaves floral notes on the palate, which is perfect for a candle!

I cannot wait to try this one and plan to call a couple local flower shops today to see if they have it on hand!  Have you tried the White Lotus & Lychee candle?  If so, please leave a comment and let us know what you think of it!

Slatkin & Co. Twisted Peppermint

I love Scent My Way and her candle reviews. She is very descriptive and covers a lot of candles that I love, such as Yankee and Slatkin & Co.

This is a recent video she posted about her favorite Winter & Holiday candles from this year. In fact this video was just posted last week, she it is quite relevant to candles for sale and purchase today!

Here are some of her favorite pics for the Winter season:

• Slatkin & Co. “Winter” – a festive holiday blend.  The reviewer states she has several and has been burning this one for years.  They are fresh and cool, woodsy and touches of citrus.
• Slatkin & Co. “Twisted Peppermint” & Yankee Candle “Jack Frost” – similar, but not the exact same scent.  One is more vanilla, and one is more peppermint.  Both of them sound heavenly to me!
• Slatkin & Co. “Fireside” – woodsy, and “a must have” for Winter.  Sandalwood, leather and more.
• Slatkin & Co. “Frosted Cranberry” – sweet and tart, at the same time, with a bite.  Sounds divine!
• Slatkin & Co. “Mint Chocolate” – smells like it sounds like it would.  A York Peppermint patty in a candle.

Country Lemonade - The perfect summer refresher with its bright lemony aroma and just the right touch of sweetness. I love this one.  It has a very refreshing scent without any dreaded cleanser notes.  It is selling for half off @ $12.99 for a large jar.

Farmer’s Market - Autumn’s freshest bounty . . . sweet berries, juicy apples, succulent peaches and warm spices. Super sweet and delicious smelling this one is currently half off as well, $12.99, and is labeled Low Stock.

Home For The Holidays - The holiday spices of cinnamon and clove, mixed with earthy cedarwood and balsam. This one is half off as well, and has the most adorable Christmas label.  It is also currently at Low Stock.

Napa Valley Harvest – A wine country celebration . . . a warm, fruity medley of rich grapes, sunny citrus and juicy plums. This one is currently half off @ $12.99.

Pomegranate Cider - A fall treat . . . tart pomegranate juice with sweet vanilla and spicy notes of cinnamon and cloves. One of my favorites!  It is actually burning right next to me as I write this and it is priced at $12.99 for a large jar.

Spiced Orange – This bright, cheery blend of sunny citrus and snappy ginger is the perfect winter warmer. I really enjoyed this one!  I love the intoxicating smell of citrus dotted with cloves.  It is selling for $12.99 for a large jar.

Vintage Berries - Succulent and sweet . . . give a berry abundance in this classic blend of rich, red berries. This one has the most adorable Christmas label and is half off at $12.99 for a large jar.

I love all these scents but this weekend I purchased Be Thankful, Christmas Eve & Cranberry Chutney.  Clearly, some of the scents are no longer available or I would have touched on them.  Hopefully candle-lovers will cash in on this sale while it is still going as Yankee Candles are definitely some of the best scented candles out there!

Secret Gardens Candle Company

I love scented candles; therefore, I am always in search of new candles to fulfill this scented craving.  Having said that as I currently live in Tulsa, Oklahoma I stumbled upon Secret Gardens Candle Company.  Ever since that time I have been in love with them!

They have some of the most wonderful smelling candles I have ever encountered.  They are as strong as your Yankee and Bath & Body Works brands.  They burn beautifully and scent my home with the most delicious smells.  Another, great thing about Secret Gardens is they will ship to you!  You do not have to live in the Tulsa area to buy these wonderful candles.

Some of my favorites are:  Pound Cake, Holiday at Home, Baked Apple and Grandma’s Kitchen.  I promise if you try them, you will not be disappointed!   Also, I am in no way affiliated with Secret Gardens – I just love them!

Marshallow Peppermint

Recently I was looking online for Christmas gifts and noticed some candles available at Bath & Body Works from Slatkin & Co.  I remember White Barn candles before and I’m not sure if they are the same brand or not?  They look similar but also different.  I plan to go there after the rush of Black Friday and check out some of their scents.  Here are a few that sounds quite intriguing:

Marshmallow Peppermint - This delicious blend of sweet peppermint, fluffy marshmallow cream and rich vanilla cupcake is sure to delight one and all this season. Sounds perfect for the cold holiday season!

Winter - A festive holiday blend of shimmering pine, orange clove, crisp bay leaf and warm winter woods. Sounds so lovely and festive.

Hot Buttered Rum - Rich and delicious, a comforting blend of spiced rum and warm caramel, with a touch of vanilla bourbon. Yum!  Can I drink this one?

Cranberry Cider - Bright, fresh cranberries mulled in warm brandy and infused with cinnamon stick. Again, can I drink this one?  Sounds heavenly!

Candied Sugar Plum - Rich, sugared plums and boysenberries are blended perfectly with sweet orange, cinnamon leaf and a touch of apple. What can I say I like the ones that sounds edible?
