Personally, I have never tried these candles, but this is there statement on quality.

Not only are these extremely strong and fragrant candles, but they are true to their namesakes. We are best known for our highly scented candles, it is not unusual for our customers to be surprised at the strength of our fragrances, these are not your typical store bought candles that lose their fragrance after just one burn. So these candles, have a quite interesting scent combinations such as “Elvis” that smells like banana and peanut butter.  They also offer all kinds of other scents such as bacon, blackbird pie, country berry hotcakes and so many more!  I am so curious about these candles and definitely plan on trying them soon!

Trapp Candles

• Orange/ Vanilla- This fragrance is the perfect combination of crisp orange notes elevated by the exquisite addition of Tahitian vanilla. This one reminds me a delicious orange and vanilla creamsicle!  It smells so WONDERFUL!
• Fresh Cut Tuberose – A tropical white flower with an intense, heady floral fragrance reminds you of a gardenia only more powerful and memorable. I am truly not a floral fragrance lover, but this one is my all time favorite candle scent — ever!  It is amazing and I often burn it and almost feel mesmerized by its scent.
• Lemongrass Verbena –  Crisp citrus notes extracted from Asian lemongrass complemented by Brazilian verbena and softened with base notes of vanilla. I adore the combination of scents in this candle.  Relaxing and refreshing!
• Guava/Mango – A fusion of exotic flavors. This mouth-watering blend of two tropical fruits combines succulent mango and flavorful guava. Love this juicy, fruity blend!
• Mediterranean Fig – Sophisticated and fruity at the same time, reminiscent of a fresh fig ripened in the warm Tuscan sun.
• Vanilla Tarte – It’s so good you can taste the Tahitian vanilla with a hint of burnt sugar- you could swear you were in a European pastry shop. Classic, rich vanilla infusion.
• Wild Currant – The perfect currant. It captures the fresh, fruity taste with an unforgettable blend of red and black currant.
• Lavender de Provence – A true lavender, found only in Provence, the lavender capital of the world. A lavender so refined and accurate that it was previously only found in perfumes. I love to burn this one in my bedroom and bathroom — so relaxing!
• Pink Grapefruit – So good you will think it’s a real grapefruit freshly sliced with a sprinkle of sugar. Sweet, juicy and delicious!
• Bamboo Sugar Cane – Notes captured from the heart of the sugar cane with a burst of citrus, enhanced with a touch of green bamboo.
• Blackberry Vanilla – Naturally grown blackberries, freshly picked at the height of the season gently sheared with a bourbon vanilla note.  I love this one. Not too sweet, just right and it makes me crave cobbler.

Now, these are my favorite scents! I have not tried them all, but I adore all of the ones mentioned in this post.  I believe these to be the strongest scented candles I have ever came across!  I truly believe their motto “A bottle of perfume in every candle”.

Yankee Candle Vintage Berries

This weekend, the weekend after Christmas, I stocked up on Yankee Candles.  Right now they are having their semi-annual clearance sale and offering candles at up to 75% off!  Now those are prices I can handle.

Here are some of my favorite picks that I have personally tested:

Autumn Fruit - A harvest celebration featuring lively blackberries with sweet grapes and juicy pears. A large jar is currently 50% off and selling for $12.99.

Christmas Cookie – Buttery rich, vanilla scented, holiday sugar cookies.  A large jar is currently 50% off and selling for $12.99.

Christmas Eve - Traditional holiday scents of a warm hearth, sugared plums, and candied fruits. A large jar is currently 50% off and selling for $12.99.

Country Lemonade - The perfect summer refresher with its bright lemony aroma and just the right touch of sweetness. I love this one.  It has a very refreshing scent without any dreaded cleanser notes.  It is selling for half off @ $12.99 for a large jar.

Farmer’s Market - Autumn’s freshest bounty . . . sweet berries, juicy apples, succulent peaches and warm spices. Super sweet and delicious smelling this one is currently half off as well, $12.99, and is labeled Low Stock.

Home For The Holidays - The holiday spices of cinnamon and clove, mixed with earthy cedarwood and balsam. This one is half off as well, and has the most adorable Christmas label.  It is also currently at Low Stock.

Napa Valley Harvest – A wine country celebration . . . a warm, fruity medley of rich grapes, sunny citrus and juicy plums. This one is currently half off @ $12.99.

Pomegranate Cider - A fall treat . . . tart pomegranate juice with sweet vanilla and spicy notes of cinnamon and cloves. One of my favorites!  It is actually burning right next to me as I write this and it is priced at $12.99 for a large jar.

Spiced Orange – This bright, cheery blend of sunny citrus and snappy ginger is the perfect winter warmer. Experience the authentic, true-to-life fragrance, with pure, natural spice extracts, and renowned Yankee Candle® quality. I really enjoyed this one!  I love the intoxicating smell of citrus dotted with cloves.  It is selling for $12.99 for a large jar.

Vintage Berries - Succulent and sweet . . . give a berry abundance in this classic blend of rich, red berries. This one has the most adorable Christmas label and is half off at $12.99 for a large jar.

I love all these scents but this weekend I purchased Be Thankful, Christmas Eve & Cranberry Chutney.  Clearly, some of the scents are no longer available or I would have touched on them.  Hopefully candle-lovers will cash in on this sale while it is still going as Yankee Candles are definitely some of the best scented candles out there!

Secret Gardens Candle Company

I love scented candles; therefore, I am always in search of new candles to fulfill this scented craving.  Having said that as I currently live in Tulsa, Oklahoma I stumbled upon Secret Gardens Candle Company.  Ever since that time I have been in love with them!

They have some of the most wonderful smelling candles I have ever encountered.  They are as strong as your Yankee and Bath & Body Works brands.  They burn beautifully and scent my home with the most delicious smells.  Another, great thing about Secret Gardens is they will ship to you!  You do not have to live in the Tulsa area to buy these wonderful candles.

Some of my favorites are:  Pound Cake, Holiday at Home, Baked Apple and Grandma’s Kitchen.  I promise if you try them, you will not be disappointed!   Also, I am in no way affiliated with Secret Gardens – I just love them!

PartyLite

I like the look of this “Winter Wonderland” home decor set up, made by Partylite Home Accents.  In the past I had some various friends and family sell Partylite, and have always been happy with their products.  I like the use of the candles for creating a warm, and yet also cool winter look at the same time.  I love the look of the sparkly greens, blues and silvers to create a winter wonderland ambiance!

Yankee "Be Thankful"

As it is Autumn time and near the holidays, I have particular seasonal candle tastes that need to be fulfilled. I love using scented candles to make my home smell heavenly and more inviting.  I have found that Yankee Candles are some of the best out there and probably my overall favorite line of candles.  Here is my current top ten holiday scent list (in no particular order):

1. Apple Cider – Warm apple mixed with the intoxicating blend of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.  This baby is burning in my living room and it creates such a pleasant scent for this time of year.  I could be apple picking on an orchard in upstate New York for all I know!
2. Cherries On Snow –  Ohhh no, this one is currently sold out online, and I can see why.  It is such a lovely scent of cherries, almonds and “icey freshness”.  I’m not sure how they produce this icey frehness per se but it is definetly there.  I  love this one and it is currently burning in my kitchen.
3. Pomegranate Cider – what can I say, I like the cider scents!  This is described as “A fall treat… tart pomegranate juice with sweet vanilla and spicy notes of cinnamon and cloves” and that pretty much sums it up to a “T”.
4. Be Jolly – I love this one on so many levels.  First off the label on the jar is adorable!  It features Christmas ornaments on a snowy background.  This scent is very Christmas-like.  All those heavenly scents of the holidays rolled up into one sweet candle that showcases holiday cheer with notes of hollyberry and pine.
5. Mountain Berry – This one combines woodsy smells with berries, currant and rosemary.  It’s a combination of sweet and spicy.
6. Christmas Cupcake – Can we say YUM?  I mean I could eat this one.  It is probably a bad thing to have around because when I smell it I crave sweets.  It is just that delicious smelling!  It combines vanilla cupcake scents with rich, buttery icing.  (also currently sold out online)
7. Deck The Halls – This is one my husband loves.  It is a very musk-based scent that combines bergamot, fir needles and cedar.  I like it as well because it reminds me of a fresh Christmas tree.
8. Autumn Fruit – This is described as a “harvest celebration” and it truly is!  I am in love with fruity or baked scents and this showcases blackberries, grapes and pears.  It is a variable fruit salad for the senses!
9. Autumn Wreath – This one combines cinnamon apples and Autumn leaves and it quite enjoyable.
10. Be Thankful – How appropriate is this name?  All the inviting smells of a Thanksgiving kitchen.  I could burn this one all day and dream of Thanksgiving dinner.

White Barn candles are sold at many Bath & Body Works stores and their candles are strong scented and come in a variety of fragrances.  They have had favorite scents like Blueberry Muffin, Fig, Vanilla Woods, Warm Apple Pie, Spice, Cookie, Peppermint, Tree, and Winterberry, but have also offered up unusual fragrances like their Buttered Mashed Potatoes candle!

White Barn is by Limited Brands, a company which offers several quality fragrance products by brands including Bath & Body Works, Victoria’s Secret, and C.O. Bigelow among others.

Unfortunately, White Barn candles are not as readily available as they used to be, so you may not find them in every Bath & Body Works store anymore.  However, Bath & Body Works still offers a host of strong scented quality candles, including other candles made by Limited Brands - so your quest for great candles won’t be wasted when you make a trip there!
